Forget this 8 out of 10... rating scale.. Be diligent and go to the school.. Dont count on friends,neighbors.. do the homework you should do!! The Larchmont Woods section of New Rochelle is lovely as well as many other neighborhoods there.. It is not always about "Larchmont".. If you cant afford to be in Larchmont.. and have to (lets say) settle in The Woods....( which is almost embarrassing to write).. You will be most happy with the District, I am sure.. And for those who question the english proficiency... Uh... HELLO New Rochelle is diverse and has english as a second Language, Special Education, etc.. for out of district kids,.. possibly the kids from Larchmont!~!! They also have MORE prorgrams... sports related, Theatre related, HONORS programs, Ivy League Grads, etc...... They are different systems... Larchmont elementary cant offer what ALL of the NR schools offer...sorry.. But it is the truth! Lovely place to live.. but check out large schools anywhere... The "Gang" activity that you are talking about was a large group of teens from the city or Bronx area.. Not our own "neighborhood" kids... New Rochelle is fabulous... so much to offer... That occurance has led to Cappelli preparing to close the arcade, rink and other areas of NEW ROC to put Target and Kohls....
