Do you have an agent representing you?

If not you can try contacting buyers agent or buyer to try to get hold of the appraiser. Appraisers are licensed professionals and they have strict rules to follow but mistakes still happen. Maybe he or she will be able to talk to you and see what happened.

Where can someone find RE stats on SOLD or CLOSED home sales in my city- if it's NOT listed on Trulia?

Info about homes under contract is not a public info and unless a RE broker you would not have an access to that. Sold homes record is a public info and its available trough your county tax base. You can search for your county “GIS maps” and there you can search property info. Hope this helps!
