I am originally from NJ and upstate NY. We, like many, visited NC & fell in love with this area and relocated here with our 3 daughters. Soon after, my son and his family and his wife's family did the same. I have known the pleasure of owning a new home, historic home, renovated, added to & most recently a custom built home.
The move from NY to NC was a very emotional one as we lived in our home for 17 years. However, we realized that we carried the memories with us and would wherever we went. We love it here and so does the rest of our extended family.

Hi Sarah, Brantley Acres Dr is in a small, very nice subdivision in the northeastern part of Mooresville off of Rt 21 North. It is conveniently located, just north of Rt 150 near stores and restaurants and just minutes to connect to Interstate 77. It is in the county so you are not subject to Mooresville city taxes. Hi Cassie, I moved here from the north several years ago and know what you are going through. The best advice I received was to buy in the county to avoid paying both city and county taxes. Also Mecklenburg Cnty has higher taxes than Iredell and tends to redistrict the schools often. My suggestion would be to look in the western and north western part of Mooresville (in the county) or the Troutman (which is where I live) and Statesville area. Hi Anne, Real Estate is always a good investment, you are bound to have your property appreciate over time no matter when you enter the cycle. But, if you buy when prices are down just like anything else, you stand to make a greater gain. Especially in the Lake Norman area where the economy is better than most other areas.If you aren't working with an agent already, I'd be happy to provide listings on a web page for you which will update daily if you contact me with you needs. Hi NC Bound, My advise to you would be to look in the county. There are many listings that are not in "Planned Urban Developments". Many have acreage and privacy. Also, the taxes are about half what you would pay in town limits. If you are not working with an agent, please contact me and I can provide more info and a web page for you to browse.
