I recently ran into this problem. Termiguard (856-435-0332) can treat the area that is having the problem. However, it is important to be sure that the home is inspected for damage from termites or even active termites. This will come out in your home inspection and will need to be addressed or any potential buyer can get out of the contract if you don't agree to fix the problem or at least give them a credit at closing for them to rectify the problem.
Many companies once they know that you have a contract for sale, have agreed to take payment at closing. That may help if you are short on cash at the moment. Also know that Termiguard will treat the infestation, but not make any repairs. You have to hire an outside contractor for that. If you need the name of a reputable contractor, Dan Bray (609-634-5790) local in the Medford/Medford Lakes area is a great contractor that could do honest repairs for you.
I wish you the very best of luck! Remember it is much better to be up front about things, because it will surface at the settlement table. That is never good for anyone involved! People living and looking to buy in Medford/Medford Lakes know that we all have had termites at one time or another! We live in the woods!
