Wally Broderick was the real estate agent that not only found exactly what we wanted for a
retirement home, but also sold us on Eastern Tennessee as a very desirable location to retire in.
While looking for a retirement home in three days last February, Wally showed us all around
Maryville, Alcoa and the Knoxville areas. He even showed us the Smokey Mountain National
Park, shopping areas, places to eat, local parks, places of worship, points of interest and even
the motor vehicle office. He was very informative!
He made our closing date and mortgage go extremely smooth. All we had to do is move in. He

Maryville/Blount County is a great place to call home. I'm a realtor in the area and can assit you with both your home buying and finding you a good lender. I'll give you an example about buying Ltes ay you find a home for $218,900 you have 20% down and the interest rate was 5.5% your montly Principal and interest would be $994.31. Now lets say that in a year home prices were to drop 10% or $197,010(don't think that will happen) But by than the recession is history and the FED is jacking up rates. Lets say they are at 6.5% your monthly payment would be $994.94. So now is a great time to buy.

Not sure about Seymour but here is some fast facts about Blount County and Maryville. The Tax rate for the county is 2.23 per $100 @ 25%, Maryville is 2.05 per $100 @ 25% and Alcoa is 2.10 per $100 @25%. If you live in the city you pay both city and county tax.
