Do houses that have been sitting on the market go up for lease?

Of course, all the time! If you are curious about this specific property, it is not currently listed for rent. This probably means that the owner has not considered it seriously yet. Negotiating escrow fees at closing?

This is something you should have taken care of earlier. When you chose your escrow company you should get an estimate of closing costs. Once you have this you should try and negotiate credits with the seller to cover these costs. At this point there is little you can do. You have already signed off on escrow instructions i'm sure. You are pretty much stuck with the fees that are there, which are not bad. Your agent and the lender should have both informed you of an estimate of these charges a long time ago. - Wed Nov 12 2008, 12:19
