Of course, all the time! If you are curious about this specific property, it is not currently listed for rent. This probably means that the owner has not considered it seriously yet. This is something you should have taken care of earlier. When you chose your escrow company you should get an estimate of closing costs. Once you have this you should try and negotiate credits with the seller to cover these costs. At this point there is little you can do. You have already signed off on escrow instructions i'm sure. You are pretty much stuck with the fees that are there, which are not bad. Your agent and the lender should have both informed you of an estimate of these charges a long time ago. - Wed Nov 12 2008, 12:19

Any offer at this point is great. One that close to asking is excellent! Go for it and get it sold. This market is SO TRICKY right now. If you let that buyer slip away you will not be a happy camper. - Mon Oct 13 2008, 15:56
