You could be describing Jacksonville and the Jacksonville Beaches, 'eclectic, diverse, progressive' Jacksonville has so many wonderful areas to choose from especially at the Beaches. There is Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach, Jacksonville Beach and Ponte Vedra Beach, within minutes of each other. I am experienced with buyers and sellers in Jacksonville Beach, FL primarily in condos. An agent can give you a snapshot of the market to help you determine what is closing in that building. You could then submit an offer and see what the response is. Occasionally a builder/developer will let a unit go to generate cash flow, so your offer may not be all that unreasonable. - Thu Jun 26 2008, 14:53

If you are in the position to buy a home now in or around the Mayo Clinic are here in Jacksonville and you find something you really like, now is a good time! Keep in mind that there are always deals to be found though, and if you wait until close to your moving date you will no doubt find something you like.
