The answer may be that one of the lenders doesn't want to work as hard for you! FHA loans require alot of work and paperwork, some brokers do not want to deal with them. It is much easier to go Conventional Loans, they are much quicker and less hassle! Right now the way to go is FHA, you need to find a trustworthy lender and be careful on who you choose. You need to hire an agent who has a strong financial background to help you with this, you CANNOT do this on your own. Hi again Vero, I would say one of the best communities is in the North part of Houston in The Woodlands, Texas. The Woodlands recently became a city and it is one of the most coveted cities in the nation. The Woodlands is of course a heavily wooded community with a huge man made lake and a waterway that is currently being developed with high end townhomes, Choreographed waterfalls and multiple color waterfall for the children to play. Here we have what are called Villages, not subdivisions because each vilalge has its own amenities, such as pools, parks, walking trails and many times its own shopping center. Look up Market Street in the Woodlands and see the upscale shops and restaurants!. Home prices here in the Woodlands are still affordable but I believe that in one year or two prices are going to shoot up with all the development going on here. I live in the Woodlands and it so convenient to everything. We have our own mall, medical center and beautiful surroundings to see and enjoy everyday. Great schools too!
