Hi Jo!
The advise you have been given already is good. Finding an agent that knows the area is very important. They will already know homeowners in that area. This gives them the opportunity to already know someone that is considering a home sale in the next few months. Or the homeowners they know may know someone considering a move. If the agent has a good network they will have a better opportunity to find you the right home. - Wed Jun 4 2008, 09:53
Hi John,
I would have to agree about the rental market in Houston. It is strong. Also, find someone that knows the area where you are looking to buy. Some areas are better than others and your REALTOR really must know the area. I have a client now selling a condo in west Houston. The properties in that community rent very quickly because it is so centrally located but also reasonable to rent. - Wed Jun 4 2008, 09:31
You definitely need to market yourself. Which is not always "free". Marketing yourself through family/friends/coworkers/etc. will help but may not help immediately. You must be patient. - Wed May 14 2008, 06:06
I would think so. You would definitely have to market it on your MLS. A BTSA is more common in my area. - Wed May 14 2008, 06:02
Have you visited the property? Is the location what has drawn you to this property? - Thu May 8 2008, 08:28
