"We have sold our house in Highlands Ranch! We switched our real estate listing agent to STEVE SCHEER in early September '07, after 4 months with a different agent and lots of showings but no offers! Once we switched, Steve got it under contract in 28 days! His proven results and customer service are exactly what I was expecting, and his attention to follow-up made the process so much less stressful. If you want someone who focuses on getting it done; keeps you informed and most importantly, educated; imparts good advice; instills confidence that your home WILL get sold; maintains clarity about
market value and what you should expect for your house; uses creativity in marketing materials to highlight your home's unique look & feel to appeal to buyers; AND is pleasant and professional to communicate with."

HI Greg,
I don't think you necessarily need to excercise that full 45 minute commute time to find what you are looking for. There are some great options within your price range in South Aurora and into Parker that will give you a very do-able commute - even in bad weather. Some of the South Aurora areas will put you in the Cherry Creek School District and those in Parker will be in the Douglas County School District. Either way you can't go wrong. There are other great areas as well that will stretch you further to the 45 minutes but that should get you started on your search. - Sat Jun 21 2008, 17:23
It depends a little if you are looking to just stay within the Denver limits or outside of Denver and into the entire Metro Area. It also will depend on your price ranges. Some areas already mentioned such as Highland, Lowry and Stapleton are good options. Outside of Denver city limits and into the suburbs you can consider Highlands Ranch which is mostly holding its own. I think that no matter what area you narrow it down to a lot of it is going to come down to the individual property and the price. Now is when you really need to make sure you are buying at the right price and not over-paying. - Sat Jun 21 2008, 17:15
Hi Lisa, Douglas County Schools, Cherry Creek Schools and LIttleton Public Schools are school districts that have all rated very well in the past in the South Metro Denver Suburbs.
Douglas County Schools are going to give you options in areas such as Highlands Ranch, Parker, Castle Rock, Castle Pines North, Lone Tree and small parts of Littleton.
Littleton Public Schools will give you options in Littleton, western Centennial and even parts of Greenwood Village.
Cherry Creek Schools are going to give you options in Cherry Hills Village, Centennial and parts of Greenwood Village and parts of south Aurora.
One thing to note is that Colorado is an open enrollment state, meaning if a school has room there are periods (usually in December) that you can open enroll in a school other than your home school.
Hope that helps! - Sat Jun 21 2008, 16:56
Hi Faith, It is going to depend on how much land to you is important. There are beautiful areas that are relatively close to the Metro Denver area that could potentially fit the bill. More information such as where you may be planning to work and what other ammenities are imporatant to you and your price range will help narrow it down some.
One thing is for sure, Colorado has many options and I bet you will love it here. - Sat Jun 21 2008, 16:44

When I am not working I enjoy spending as much time as possible with my family enjoying the Colorado outdoors. We hike, bike, ski, fish, camp, golf - you name it. I am also an avid reader & life-long learner. I spend a great deal of time cheering on my children's sports of basketball, hockey and soccer. We are also big sports fans here, especially for hockey, Go Avs!
