Hi Elisa
I recently made mention to someone else of this issue about the earnest money deposit. I assume you had no professional representation. Usually the builders contracts are the same for the state. Unless you have suffered a hardship or the builder has not met up to written expectations, you won't have a chance. If you would like me to review the contract with you, let me know.
Thanks

are you negotiating price and upgrades on your own? If so, you seriously need to have professional representation. Are you aware of the nonrefundable deposit that you will be committing to the builder? Loan requirements have been changing daily, I wouldnt take any chances of forfeiting any deposit. Give me a call if you have further questions. 925-984-1867
Thanks

are you making that a pre-move-in requirement in your rental contract? - Mon Jul 28 2008, 22:12
Highway noise usually affects real estate prices and any professional listing a home with any nuisances such as that, will take that into consideration. It may or may not be a turn off. Our job for our clients, is to listen to what their wants and needs are. Once we have a clear vision of our clients expectations are, we work hard on providing them the service they expect. It's up to you to be a good judge on choosing your professional. We are not all the same. Contact me if you have any questions
Thanks
