I would fix the foundation before I list it for several reasons: 1) many buyers are scared off by type of foundation problems, 2) you will be able to list at a higher price, 3) the number of properties on the market right now make very picky buyers, and the competition is tough. A lot of young professionals are moving there. Keep in mind, it is in downtown Dallas, and, as a big city goes, you have to take that into consideration. If you were relocating from another big city near or in their downtown area, it would be the same. Now, having said that, there is so much to do there. The "Southside" as it is now called is very up and coming with some neat restaurants, bars, etc. They are revitalizing the entire area; and giving big tax incentives to builders and businesses to bring them into the neighborhood. - Thu May 1 2008, 07:39
