Testimonials
"Working with Best Chicago Properties and Jeff on the sale of my home was a breeze. He was very thorough and went the extra mile to explain contract details, ramifications and potential conflicts. Before entering into an agreement Jeff made sure he understood my sales objectives, what would be acceptable and any nuisances that I had. He did a realistic analysis of comparable properties that had sold and were on the market. We discussed market conditions and timing. Jeff then set out to find the right potential buyers and didn't waste my time with repetitive questions or casual prospects. In one of the most difficult real estate markets in many years, we got a fair price in a surprisingly short period of time. The sale closed without a hitch. I experienced none of the horror stories that have been floated during this down market with turbulent financing. I would highly recommend Best Chicago Properties and Jeff to anyone interested in buying or selling a home. They will not give you false hopes or unrealistic expectations."

"Jeff, I wanted to write to thank you for your top-notch talent and above-and-beyond support in selling my condo. I've worked with many realtors over the years and you are by far, the best. While I'm sure you don't have a large number of clients that buy a condo and then sell it within the course of six months, you were gracious, supportive, and responded well to my desire to make a profit, even after such a short ownership tenure. The fact that we had a signed offer within days of listing, at the selling price that I wanted, is nothing short of spectacular. Thank you for being so good at what you do. If and when I buy real estate in Chicago, you're definitely the first person that I'll call."

"As we were preparing to get married, we met Jeff at a showing of a property as we were considering selling each of our properties and purchasing one together. Previously we had been successful selling/buying property without a Realtor. Jeff's understanding of the Chicago market (even in the current challenging times), professionalism, honesty and superb personal service convinced us to contract with him for all three transactions. The result was a sale in 10 days at 98% of listing price (May 2007), a sale in 8 weeks (Nov 2007) at 99% of listing price and the purchase of a magnificent home in the West Loop (July 2007). Jeff made believers of us in using a GREAT Realtor. In this market you need an exceptional agent. We would highly recommend Jeff for any real estate transactions."

YES Norwalk is too far!!! I'm from Wilton the town nextdoor to Ridgefield and know the area well and you will hate the long commute from Norwalk to Ridgefield. Don't do it! I've now lived in Chicago since 2001 and like it a lot but it is totally opposite from suburban Connecticut. It will be an adjustment to the suburban life but Ridgefield has a lot to offer and I'd recommend living there. My advice is listen to Bruce if you have not already. - Tue Aug 19 2008, 08:26

We've had 2-3 showings per week on average for each of our listings this summer. Deals are happening but at a slower more drawn out pace than this time last year. That being said, the next few weeks are expected to be much slower since many folks are out of town on vacation. I expect the traction to pick up again beginning September 8th when folks realize this is a great time to buy and if they want to get in before winter sets in they should get busy. Advice: Don't loose hope...just hunker down and wait a while. Now if you've not seen 2-3 showings a week prior to this time, you may be priced too high and thus your listing may be "stale". - Tue Aug 19 2008, 08:19

Hi Samantha,
I find a lot of folks that move to Chicago like to start by renting in the near West Loop / Greektown area becasue it is centrally located just west of downtown and has excellent access to I90/94 and I290 plus the CTA Blue Line and two Metra train stations all within walking distance. Not to mention the greek restaurants and other popular eateries nearby. There is also easy daycare, gyms, grocery shopping etc closeby. It is a more industrial feeling neighborhood with lots of converted loft buildings along with new condo buildings. A great neighborhood that gets better every year, the West Loop would be a perfect way to introduce yourselves to Chicago. - Sat Aug 16 2008, 14:58
