Hey Joni,

I live in the Buckhead area as well, and I specialize in foreclosures, and helping people find great deals. I would love to sit down with you and find out what kind of properties you may be interested in. Sometimes it takes months to find a good deal for someone. In my opinion the best way to find a good deal is to have someone who knows the area/market very well find out what you are looking for and when something comes up immediately bring it to your attention. Let me know if I can be of assistance. Feel free to contact me anytime.

Hey MC,

I grew up in Sexton Woods and now bought a home for myself a few years ago in Sexton Woods. I am very familiar with Huntley Hills as well. I prefer Sexton Woods, however homes are generally priced a bit higher in Sexton Woods. Sexton Woods has also seen more new construction than Huntley Hills which to me is a strong indicator of high demand in the neighborhood. Both neighborhoods provide a great location, Huntley Hills has a swimming pool, Sexton Woods does not. Sexton Woods has more sidewalks, and has more outlets to major Roads.

I would be happy to answer any questions you may have about either of the neighborhoods. Feel free to call me anytime at 678-776-0135. - Wed Jul 30 2008, 07:59

Hey Holly,

The areas you mentioned are great. Have you thought about Brookhaven? It is right next to Buckhead, has great schools, is inside the Perimeter, and has some great deals on new construction. Most of Brookhaven is also in Dekalb County, which some find more attractive than Fulton when taking property taxes into consideration.

You are on the right track, you have mentioned 3 great neighborhoods in Atlanta. Brookhaven, in my opinion is #1 for investment potential and for living. Let me know if you would like to take a tour of all of the neighborhoods you mentioned and we can discuss your question in greater detail. I grew up in the Chamblee, Dunwoody area and have lived here all of my life. I live in Buckhead currently and own investment property in Sandy Springs, Brookhaven, and Chamblee.

I would absolutely love to help you and your family find your perfect place. Let me know if I can help in any way.

Feel free to contact me anytime at 678-776-0135

Townhomes in E. Atlanta or similar areas

Alex Wilkinson answered:
Hey Aimee,

I just finished working with a buyer who started out looking for exactly what you are looking for in East Atlanta. I am very familiar with whats available in East Atlanta, and also have a good idea of what some of the developers are actually taking in this market. My client ended up buying a brand new 3bed3.5bath townhome in Brookhaven for $220k. Let me know if I can help. Within the last 2 years or so, I have become somewhat of an expert on Townhomes intown because of the aggressive pricing that many developers have offered. If you would like to call and just pick my brain feel free.

Good luck with your search, and feel free to call,

Follow-up question to Sexton Woods/Chamblee houses:

Alex Wilkinson answered:
Hey Lane,

I have looked at this house a couple of times. I think it def. needs some TLC, and I think there may be some good room for negotiation. When they say AS-Is, no termite/disclosure statement, they are refering to a "Sellers Property Disclosure Statement" which is often times provided to buyers from sellers, it is a few page document that has questions for the seller to answer about the property, for example, has there ever been any water damage to the property? Banks do not provide these kind of documents because they haven'tlived in the house, and they don't want to gaurantee anything. You have to makesure you get a thorough inspection of the property, and make sure you know exactly what you are buying. Let me know if I can help. I specialize in selling bank owned properties, as well as representing buyers. I think I could provide you with some great info about Sexton Woods.
