About Me
In the last 15 years as a Professional Realtor, I have worked full-time as an Accredited Buyers Representative(ABR), a Certified Residential Specialist(CRS), a Graduate Residential Institute(GRI) and finally received the Broker designation. This is in addition to my MS in Guidance and Counseling, and BS in Chemistry and Biology(taught school for 13 years in 5 area High Schools)....my speciaties include listening to Buyers to help them with their home purchases, investor clients for rental or "flipping" purposes, and relocating physicians and corporate clients as referrals from across this United States of America and other countries.

I also specialize in finding the "right property "for my Buyers and do my diligence on Buyer Representation.....from the cattle farm in Gallatin to the 17 acre spread in Leipers Fork(leased by Wynonna) to the 100+ acres on the Cumberland River ( Duck River or Jones Creek )in Kingston Springs and Ashland City way to the 45 acre contemporary next to TWRA property(acres of riding trails) in Maury County....to the Williamson County(where I live) markets of Brentwood, Franklin, Nolensville, Spring Hill.....I work all areas of . Middle Tennessee.

So.....the condos in Midtown, the Gulch, Downtown,Eastside, and West side are currently attracting all ages, plus the historic cottages and homes in East Nashville, Sylvan Park, and West Nashville(Charlotte Park and the Nations) have been in the redo market....

I like to help all Buyers, so give me a ring......Laura

Tina,
Lets see if this link works for the Old Hickory Blvd area.....this would be a great location for distance to work, schools, and shopping.......The Woodlands neighborhood seems to be active as there are 3 contracts and several for sale....Barton Vale would be nice....look for upcoming Hearthstone and Fredericksburg listings.

Tina,
You have many good answers, but one of the best would be to get a Realtor who knows all the areas of Nashville, so that you may comb Bellevue, the Old Hickory Blvd area, Spring Hill or Thompson Station, Franklin,Sylvan Park, and possibly Hermitage.... Check out the links below for a few neighborhoods to start with....

Hey Michael,
Below are listed some of the short sales in Williamson County, but it sounds like you know this....there may be more "deals" outside the banking arena....Having lived in Williamson County for 30 years, I keep up with all the local cities of Spring Hill, Thompson Station, College Grove, Fairview, Nolensville, Brentwood, and Franklin....You will notice 2 short sales in Bent Creek and Avalon....these are new areas and very desirable....Give me a call or e-mail if you would like for me to set you up on an automatic e-mail for those kinds of properties... Laura

We are considering moving to Nashville, need recommendations..

Laura Scott answered:
Vladimir,

You are probably still deciding at the move, so thought I would send you some ideas......Cheatham County is still getting more popular and can be just 30 minutes from the West End area...my clients just love this county...2500 sf will be difficult to get under $200,000 in most areas surrounding Nashville.....

Kingston Springs in Cheatham County

Where is the most affordable place to buy beachside property in the south?

Laura Scott answered:
Now Brian,
Just call your CRS list along the coast near Destin, Santa Rosa, Sandestin, Panama City areas and get them to tell you the best right now......or Orange Beach,AL.....Laura - Sun Sep 14 2008, 11:01
Laura Scott answered:
Mary,
If short sale is the "house of your dreams", then I would wait for another 60 days to see if the sale could go through, but meanwhile keep your options open and try to identify another suitable home. That way you could close in 30 days and give the short sale a chance .....Hope this helps ....Laura Scott in Nashville - Sat Sep 13 2008, 12:22
