Efi, there are still plenty of mortgage options for foreign nationals in the US. Some of it is private lending which means you can put as little as possible but you can expect higher fees.
We deal with a lot of foreign nationals are are constantly looking for financing options for them.

That's never a good thing to hear - but remember this is a third party site, sometimes it's best to contact them directly. I know plenty of us answer our phone and respond immediately to requests.....especially when inquiries are made directly from our sites.
Don't give up Jason, there's plenty of Realtors that will be happy to help you and will offer excellent service.

We live, work and breathe Miami Shores. I have lived there for over 25 years and can tell you all you want to know about it. We have a special section on Miami Shores in our website at:

Compared to surrounding neighborhoods, sales are still strong and there is a price range for everyone - from modest $270,000 homes to multi-million waterfront properties. We have seen movement pick up a bit in the past 2 months and see people that were renting starting to buy and also investors moving in (which is an obvious sign of a recuperating market). But I won't lie to you, there are also a few short sales and foreclosures - but I wouldn't change Miami Shores for anything.

Miami Shores has a Charter School Now with their first senior class graduation last year. It's the Doctor's charter School and is located right behind Barry University.
As for private schools you have Miami Country Day or Curley and a lot of residents also do Magnet Schools from DASH to MAST Academy.
