Hi, my name is Diane Burke and I am an agent in Chattanooga. There are really so many different areas with different things to offer. It will depend on your families lifestyle and what you and your children like to do. In regards to schools check out http://www.greatschools.net, they will rate the schools based on academics and you can make a decision from there. I am a relocation specialist and I have moved alot of families to East Brainerd and get alot of requests about Signal Mountain. We have alot of subdivisions with neighborhood pools and this seems to be a big draw for relocating families. Most anywhere you live in Chattanooga you will be 15-30 minutes away from Downtown where the Childrens Discovery Museum, Aquarium and IMAX Theatre are. They are huge with the kids in the area and visiting families.

We also have the draw of the Chickamauga Lake and the Mountains with plenty of activities. So, it really does depend on your lifestyle. I would love to discuss your likes and dislikes. Jt, most clients that I have relocated have used http://www.hcde.org and http://www.greatschools.net in combination. It helped them determine what area they wanted to be in based on the ratings and maps of the schools. We do have several new public middle and high schools that are being built or were just built, Ooltewah/East Brainerd area and Signal Mtn. area. We have so many choices for schools that it can be a bit overwhelming when you first start looking at the information. The hcde.org site is the public school system site that talks about the different schools and the rezoning that is going on and great schools talks about test ranking and you can map out where you would like them to go using all this information.

Doctor, I don't know if you have found your REALTOR or home yet. You are moving to a beautiful city with alot of things to offer. You have the Mountains, the lakes, all art district, and alot of areas that will be convenient to the hospital, whichever one that is. Your REALTOR can help your narrow down your search for areas by listening to you about your lifestyle and the activities that you like to do.
