Bill & Jean Schimmer

Bill became a REALTOR® 7 years ago in 1999, now in his eighth year. Jean joined soon after Bill and we have been Top Producers for ERA Simmons Real Estate for the last 7 years. We believe that our philosophy of helping others is responsible for our success.

We have been involved with people all our lives such as:
Constructed LOG Homes in Central New York.
Remodeled homes.
Worked with people in industry and churches.
Operated a successful retail business for 9 years.

Bill is President of the Board of the Otero County Association of REALTORS® for 2007 and was Chairman of the MLS Committee(Multiple Listing Service) for 2004 &2005. Jean was the Secretary/Treasurer for the Otero County Association of REALTORS® for 2005 & 2006.
Bill was instrumental in upgrading the MLS computer programs to enable REALTORS® to better service Sellers and Buyers, and worked on getting zoning information available from the city in a timely cost effective manner.
Electronic lockboxes have been approved for use starting November 2007. This will improve security and accountability of showings. We will now know how many showings there have been on a property by time & date & who. Bill has been working to get this implemented for the last 2 years.
Whatever it takes to help someone buy or sell a property, "WE DO IT", going way beyond normal responsibilities. Negotiating is our specialty. Getting a fair agreement between the buyers and sellers is our goal. We live by our code "A promise is a promise", and the Code of Ethics of the National Association of Realtors. We are REALTORS®.
Part of our advertising is a bill board moving truck, a 15 foot box van that we let buyers and sellers use when moving within a 50 miles radius. Perhaps you've seen it running around town.
