Yes, I think it is a wonderful time to buy if your financially able to! There are some great deals out there! - Wed Jun 18 2008, 15:54
The best advice I can tell you is interview the agents and find the one you feel comfortable working with. You can ask it they have any references of clients that have used them in the last 90 days. Ask friends you know if they have an agent they can recommend. There are so many different agents as there are buyers you need to find your right fit! For the most part buyers agents are not out to sell you the most expensive home, but to find you the best home at the best price. - Wed Jun 18 2008, 15:50
Yes, I think it is a great time to buy a condo! Especially a new conversion or new construction as the builders tend to have more room to nego. Rainier Valley has really been changing the last couple of years to the better and with the light rail coming it can only make it better. Another good area to think about is West Seattle, the Westwood and White Center area is also a very good area as it to is priced well. The commute into Seattle is only 15 min at best. Seattle's over all job market has been good and our home sales still are better then most around the country.
This wonderful buyers market is not going to be around forever, so I would take the time now to buy if you can. - Sun Jun 15 2008, 15:56
Oh, welcome to Seattle! This is a great place to live. I have lived here all my life and in many different parts. I have lived to the south of Seattle and the North of Seattle all on the west side. Each area is special in it's own way. I could tell you a little about each but before I could recommend an area I would want to know a little bit about you and your family. What things do you like to do?
If you have not found an agent you want to work with feel free to give me a call or check out my website. I can send you a book that tells you all about the different areas to live in Seattle. - Thu Jun 12 2008, 16:50
Well there are alot of homes on the market right now and some really good deals! If it was myself, I think I would be buying. One reason is the rental market is good right now and you would be paying a pretty hefty price on a rental for a year. Why not get into a good area with a good school district now and have your family settled in. You said you would be working for Micrsoft in Redmond and don't want a long commute and an affordable area right! I might suggest North Kirkland, or Bothell , Kenmore area. You could get to MS within 30 minutes from any of these places. We have a ton of really nice new homes as well as older homes priced to sell. And Northshore School district is a wonderful and one of the best school districts around. Have you already sold your home? - Thu Jun 12 2008, 16:36
