There are always homes available for sale where sellers would consider a lease to purchase plan. It does require a dedicated agent who is ready to ask the right questions about which homes might be available and to put together the right transaction. Often times, a portion of the monthly rent can be credited to you as a buyer at closing.
As an experienced real estate agent and previous mortgage lender, I can answer any questions you might have. - Thu Aug 14 2008, 15:19
There is some disagreement among realtors as to what constitutes a bedroom. Generally, I would tell you that if a room is of adequate size for a bed, has a window and has a closet, that it is a bedroom. Some agents believe that a room must have a window adequate for egress to be considered a bedroom. You should make the decision for yourself as to how you'll use the room to determine if it's a bedroom.
In your particular situation, Ii would not consider it a bedroom for listing purposes as it has no closet and must be accessed to get to the bath and stairs. I'd guess this room was originally intended as a parlor or dining area. Good luck - Thu Jun 19 2008, 08:04
The best place to get home sales/ prices stats would be through a local realtor who belongs to the Multiple Listing Service. Find an experienced agent who not only knows where to find the info, but can help you understand what all of the numbers mean. I'll be happy to refer you to one if you'd like to email me at steve.waltoncentury21.com. - Wed May 28 2008, 13:20
Aundrea-- While the real estate market in Billings is still strong, there appears to be more homes currently available for sale than there are buyers to purchase them, which makes the rent/own and lease/ purchase options more attractive to sellers. There are always homes marketed as potential lease/ purchase situations, and many more that would consider the option if it was presented. Find a good local Realtor to help you find the right home and pursue the option that best fits your needs. Feel free to contact me directly if I can be of further assistance. - Sat May 24 2008, 23:59
Most real estate sales are completed through real estate professionals in your area. Most local real estate association operate a multiple listing service through which buyers and sellers can obtain the most recent information on homes currently available for sale, pending or contingent sales, and up to date info on recent sold properties. Contact a trustowrthy real estate agent in your area to find out the latest info about the market in the neighborhood you're looking at. - Sun May 18 2008, 16:26
