About Me
Shortly after moving to Hilton Head Island, SC in 1974, I decided I would go into Real Estate until I could find a real job. 30 years later, I am still looking for that real job.

I grew up in a small town in North Carolina and was taught a man is only as good as his word and I have lived by that my entire life. I have also brought that philosophy with me to Real Estate.

This is a constantly changing business controlled totally by market conditions. The last 30 years have been one wild roller coaster ride as any agent in the business that long will tell you. In that 30 years, I have been down a lot of unpaved roads as we say here in the South, but what I have learned could not have a price put on it.

If I can ever assist you, please feel free to contact me.

SunTrust has a lot of money to lend as long as you do not need it. Go figure. Had lunch today with one of their people and he indicated you needed a credit score in the low 700s to qualify. S.C. Bank and Trust here has been great to work with. Very creative in getting things done. They would be my first choice.

If I were your agent, I would not let you buy without having one done. No agent looking out for your welfare would either.

Tisha's advice on the websites with an IDX is spot on. Most of us have them. Best success in your search.

You would have to go out of your way to find a place in the USA where it is not a good time to pick something up, especially SC. I have been here since 1974, came to spend the summer and never left.

Prices right now are better than your grandmas fried chicken and we all know that was great. Your hardest decision is going to be where do you want to be. Me, I would choose Charleston to Hilton Head Island, but there are many areas along the coast that are very nice.

I wish you the best in your search. If I can help, please let me know. I invite you to visit my web site to get a taste of Hilton Head Island and surrounding area.

Your payment can be as low as you want it. It all depends on how much money you put down. The rest is determined by the number of years you finance for and the interest rate. Your banker can tell you to the penny how much your payments will be based on your down payment. Keep in mind you have taxes and insurance on top of the payment. It does not stop with just the payment. That is just the beginning. You need to think seriously about all the monthly cost involved with home ownership. Add this to the basic payment and you will have your real monthly payment.

Now that I have scared the britches off you, now is the best time to find a great deal on a home. Find one that fits you like an old favorite pair of sneakers and get it. Like those sneakers, you will love your home.

I wish you the best.
