Yes Matt that is just a bit crazy. You don't say but has your offer been accepted? It may not be too late to recind this offer and your agent should be able to help you. You do have an agent don't you?
I agree with Dave and Jean - about 1/3 of your income is high enough to pay for a mortgage because above that you are asking for trouble you don't need or want. - Wed Jul 16 2008, 09:19
