We are considering moving to the 19114 area because of the home prices, but the schools there don't look

Decatur and Hancock are 2 of Philadelphia highest ranked public grade schools. There are also several charter schools in the vicinity including one in Bensalem which Philadelphia residents are allowed to apply to and you always have the option of private schools. Taxes in the 19114 are median. Also, the NE YMCA is loaded with programs for children ages 2+. including "Tot Time," Nursery School and Pre-K programs (the Pre-K program is accredited by the city, BTW) -- it's a great area, IMO. - Sat Jul 12 2008, 19:43
