Kim Delaney answered:
I think that unfortunately there are many unprofessional, uncourteous agents out there that give us all a bad rap. I am amazed at how difficult some agents can be to work with, being that they only way we will all get paid is if we work TOGETHER. I have also had clients come to me after having a bad experience with another agent and the stories are endless ... agents that don't return phone calls, don't negotiate properly, and don't make an effort to service their clients. As real estate agents we proclaim that we are there to make the process go smoothly and act in the best interest of our clients - if we don't do so, word spreads, and eventually buyers and sellers wonder why they should pay us to do nothing. I agree with Chris that it is entirely too easy to obtain a license.

On the other hand, I know that sometimes when we do our very best, we still have derogatory remarks made about us. There are many aspects of a transaction tht are our of our control and unfortunately that is not always apparent to our clients.

We just have to each do our best to earn our referrals and let the nasty comments roll ....
