Very little has been said about how commissions are split. Usually half the commission goes to the selling broker and half to the listing agent, then the commission gets split with the respective agent's office.
When you pay your Realtor less, the payout is less, there are some agents who look at the splits and in a slow market don't show the lower commissioned properties.
