Looking for a single mother friendly area in west palm to buy. Any advice on good schools and neighborhoods?

To me, a single mother friendly area would be one that makes your daily life easier... family friendly communities with lots to offer... great schools, good recreation, sports and after school activities, all this centrally located so you're not spending lots of your free time driving the kids around (let's not talk about gas!). Of course, price range is important, as well as age(s) of your children and proximity to work. There is a lot of talk of a softening real estate market. How would you describe the real estate market in Wellington?

There's alot of inventory to choose from, and after recent price adjustments due to an abundance of short sales and foreclosures, homes are selling again which is stabilizing our market. It's a great time to buy right now; especially if interest rates on mortgages increase as projected. If a home is priced right, the best deals move quickly.
