Andrea, The Essex County community offers great schools,parks, shopping and easy commuting to NYC. Millburn/Short Hills has top quality schools,fabulous shopping and the midtown direct train. Montclair will give you the flavor of living in NYC with its boutique shops,great restaurants and midtown direct train. The closer you live to the train the higher the real estate value. Wonderful communities like LIvingston, North Caldwell , Verona and Essex Fells are on bus lines to the city (45-50 minute commute)and you may be able to get more for your money. It depends on what is most important to your family. I can give you comparisons from all these towns to help you make a decision. If you would like, email me and I'll sedd them to you asap...
