Alisa, Padden Parkway is really a straight shot...I live closer to town, and I can reach the airport in 10-15 minutes..I go over to 82nd and Killingsworth to my mechanic and I can reach his shop in rush hour in 20 minutes...using 205...I think that the distance would we approx. the same from Padden Pkwy...it is a different story using I-5 during rush hour...that being said, I drove to downtown Portland, last Friday during rush hour from Mill Plain and I-5 in 15 minutes.. - Sun Mar 16 2008, 18:29
Alisa, the commute from Vancouver's Eastside, ie. Fishers Landing, is quick, and convenient to the 205/84 area...may even be more accessable than Happy Valley...in this price range you will have your pick of a lot of great housing choices...great schools, and the benefit of being close to Portlands downtown ,air port, and eastside for great shopping along the drive to the airport...largely built for the SW Washington shopper...and the advantage of a small town atmosphere... - Wed Mar 12 2008, 13:57
Miss Tessi, this is a great avenue for someone who had the time and talent to discern the facts and determination to stick to it...however, is you are transfering and need a quick move or do not wish to engage in that kind of real estate the traditional avenue is always there...My Husband and I have in the past purchased realestate on the Courthouse steps, it is fun and has been worthwhile...I do know others that have had disappointment taking that avenue, as you cannot always view the interiors of the homes being sold and do not know the condition that has been left behind...so, buyer beware...there can be some angry and disappointed homeowners on their way out... - Sun Mar 9 2008, 12:16
