Realtor.com is not posting FSBO listings. The FSBO web site is referring to listings by MLS-only companies that charge a flat fee for MLS entries and menu of services that may or may not include full service listings. The press release is highly misleading. All of the listings on Realtor.com are listed in multiple listing services. - Mon Nov 17 2008, 18:53

I have worked with many buyers who worked with rehab financing and the FHA203(k) program is my personal favorite. There are two forms of the program, including the 203(k) Streamline program with reduced paperwork requirements.

Many HUD homes are offered with this type of financing, and repair costs are built right into the mortgage.

Not all FHA lenders work with the 203(k) product. Use a lender who has EXPERIENCE! - Mon Nov 17 2008, 08:04

Working with distressed homeowners and helping them obtain loan modifications may not be an immediate dollar productive activity, but it will generate heartfelt referrals and contribute to a healthier market ... fewer vacant houses, fewer children moving to new schools.
