You will need a Buyer''s Agent to represent you. If, you wish to bid on a home on-line at an REO or HUD auction site~ most companies handling REO properties/inventory will request that you have a CERTIFIED Buyer's Agent represent you in submitting the bid online. Coldwell Banker agents (are certified) to represent buyers regarding such properties & can bid or present offers on behalf of buyers who wish to purchase REO or HUD homes. - Thu Apr 24 2008, 13:23

Select a real estate company that offers a RELOCATION referral network service. Most large real estate companies have a relocation referral department, that will put you in contact with an agent located at or near your chosen destination. The company will provide you with an agent name & contact information in that area of expertise that will work with you in previewing available homes prior to your arrival, to optimize the best use of your time. - Thu Apr 24 2008, 12:46

If your home is on less than 1 acre of land, you have a six month redemption period.
If you home is on more than 1 acre of land, you have a twelve month redemption period.
The redemption period (clock) starts ticking~ the day you recieve the foreclosure notice posted on your home. The notice will disclose the date, time & place of the upcoming sheriff's sale (which will take place at your county courthouse). During the redemption period (6 or 12 months), you have every right to continue living in the home, which buys you time to either make up the behind payments to the bank, re-finance with it or another bank, list with a REALTOR & sell it. The worse thing you can do is nothing.
You do have many options available to you (protect yourself & exercise them). - Thu Apr 24 2008, 11:52
