About Me
Looking to move to The Woodlands or some where else in Houston? I can help you find the neighborhood that's right for you!

I have lived in The Woodlands since January, 2000. My children have attended the schools and I'm involved in the PTO's. I can give you the benefit of my personal experiences with the schools. If you have kids in school, it's important to work with someone who knows the system and can help you beyond the house finding process.

Rather live closer in to town? That's okay, too! I grew up in Houston and I can tell you about Bellaire, West University, Memorial, Montrose, Garden Oaks, River Oaks, Katy, Sugarland, Kingwood, Clearlake and Galveston.

Areas of Expertise

Although I'm tempted to go on and on telling you about the fact I'm Quaility Service Certified and that I have received this and that award for selling X number of homes, I'm not. Why? Well, while those things my be important to me, I find that buyers and sellers really don't care. What do they care about? Read my testimonials and you'll see that I'm an expert at listening to my clients, finding the homes they really want to see and telling them what needs to be done to get the house sold. I'm honest and upfront with my sellers about what the house is worth and what has to be done to get the house sold. I'm available, I answer questions and I'm there. I'll provide you the service, professionalism, integrity, experience, and dedication you deserve.

So, while others my brag about their industry awards, I brag about my clients. After all, there is no greater honor in real estate than the recommendation of a past client!

Testimonials

"Mary is an EXCELLENT real estate agent!! She told me exactly what I needed to do to get my house ready for showings and was very helpful. I feel it is because of Mary's help that we were able to find a buyer in the first 2 hours of showings! If we ever move back to Texas, we will definitely be contacting Mary again." Suzanne and Joel W.

"Mary Rocks!! Mary helped me stage my house and get a contract in 1 day. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to buy or sell." Sally and Peter G.

"Thom and I have worked 3 real estate transactions with Mary. Mary saved us money each time. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing a realtor." Shelley F.

"Mary is knowledgeable efficient and friendly. She takes the time to find just the right home for each family." Lori C.

"I love house hunting with Mary. She is always available to show me the newest listings and she gets answers to all my questions. I would recommend her to anyone thinking of buying or selling." Jan W.

"Mary is not only knowledgeable, but she is kind and generous with her knowledge and time. She is a great real estate agent!! She was always there to answer our questions and calls, and give advice. First, she helped us prepare our home for sale. After we took all of her suggestions, she sold our house in 5 hours and got us a backup offer the next day, both at full asking price. We also had a relocation sale, and Mary held our hands through all the mountains of paperwork and steps with the relocation agency. She was prompt with information, and she was always there when we needed her. She helped every step of the way, and always went the extra mile, checking on details and making sure everything was correct, ethical, and completed. We recommend Mary because she is a hard working, caring, and knowledgable agent. She knows that a house is a piece of real estate, but also that it is a home, too. In short, we recommend her because she is a great real estate agent. Anyone would be lucky to have her on their side, working to buy or sell their home. We love you, Mary!! Thank you so much for everything! Love, Ute and Stephen"

"Mary Bowen was our our realtor for selling our home and for purchasing a new home. She did a wonderful job and was always available to discuss issues that came up or questions we had. We ran into a few snags both selling our old home and buying our new home. Mary went to bat for us, smoothed everything out and made sure that everything fell into place and worked out as it should. I would highly recommend Mary. She is attentive to her clients and works hard for them." Lindsey S.

Your agent can list your home on Trulia. Some companies have an automatic feed to multiple real estate websites. My office has at least 20 websites that we link to for more exposure. - Wed Jul 2 2008, 07:19

One more thing, Bryan, you need to go ahead and get pre aproved for a mortgage. That will give you the best advantage when you find your home. Most banks won't any consider your offer without a pre approval letter (not pre quailified.) - Sun Jan 27 2008, 17:27
The best way to get foreclosure list is to have an agent pull foreclosure homes that fit your needs from the mls list. The agent side of HAR identifies homes as foreclosures by listing the disclosures that are required for the sale of any given home. - Sun Jan 27 2008, 17:23
Bryan, My question to you is do you have to sell before you buy? I'm asking because banks won't take contingency offers. So, if that is the case you are better of buying from an individual who needs to sell, but has not involved the bank. - Sun Jan 27 2008, 07:57

There are so many listings on the website....

Mary Bowen answered:
In Houston, the mls site will show the house as option pending. That means there is a contract on the house and inspections are in progress. Here, the option period is usually 10 days. - Sat Jan 26 2008, 09:22
