Hi Beth,
Current prices in the Tampa market are reported to be back to early 2005 levels. This is off from a peak in 2006. The rise was mostly fueled by speculators with access to easy-to-obtain, risky mortgages. You are correct to assume that real estate markets are local - quite true. Still, you can find bargains around Tampa with all the motivated sellers. If you need any assistance, feel free to contact. - Fri May 16 2008, 09:32

Any nice subdivisions in Tampa, FL?

Todd N. Taylor answered:
Hi Mimi,
Westchase (Golf, Parks, Swim, Tennis, Shopping, Dining), Waterchase (Swim, Tennis), The Eagles (Golf, Swim, Tennis), West Hampton, Mandolin, Highland Park, Montreaux and many others offer newer homes with excellent amenities, 15-30min commutes to the Westshore/International disctrict and have listings fitting your criteria. Like others have mentioned, it will depend on your taste in architechture, lifestyle and desired commute time. - Thu Apr 17 2008, 08:01

Hi Kimberly. Did you mean Tampa, FL?
If you did, there are many great neighborhoods in "A" graded school disrticts. If you and/or your spouse are taking positions in a certain part of town, your commutes may be greatly impacted by where you choose to live. Popular choices of late are: New Tampa, Lutz, Citrus Park, Keystone, Westchase, Bloomingdale, Fishawk and if you want to be in the city, South Tampa in the Plant High School district. Hi Wade. To my knowledge, neither school is particularly noted for their performing arts programs. That honor goes to Blake. I can personally vouch for Sickles' auditorium as one of the nicer facilities in the area for concerts and theater, however. Their "Wall of Sound" band gets consistently high marks. - Sun Apr 13 2008, 12:57
