Hi Joe,
The closing costs are part of your lender costs. The reason why owners do this is so they don't have to take the cash out of their pocket. You could take the cash out of your pocket and not finance it if you choose to. When your building a custom home the builder does not pay your closing costs. Now if you found an existing new construction home the builder is more likely to help out with this. If you have any other questions you can call or e-mail me.
