About Me
I’ve worked in real estate in Carteret & Onslow counties since my heels first hit the North Carolina sand in 1977. I’m a 2nd generation Californian, but my husband Lee convinced me to try his hometown of Cedar Point (just outside Swansboro), and here we've stayed. I earned my NC salesman’s license 25 years ago, my broker’s about 4 years later, and have won repeated awards for “Top Producer“. My affiliation with Bluewater gives me access to the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) in both Carteret County & Onslow County. I have the experience and knowledge to help you navigate through our local real estate market and to make the most of your real estate experience. If you're looking for something in the Hubert, Swansboro, Emerald Isle or Newport areas - from Camp Lejeune to Cherry Point - just give me a call!
Testimonials
"When I decided to sell my home in Cedar Point, I was fortunate to remember Christy from ten years earlier. As a buyer in that transaction, I had decided that if I ever needed an agent’s service, I would call her. With my being an absentee owner selling a custom house I built, never intending to sell, she had a challenge. I realized some of the design features I liked would limit the interest. She did a professional job marketing my home, generating an immediate response from the eventual buyer. If she had delayed taking the pictures she used to highlight the benefits of the property, we would have missed this opportunity. After the buyer saw the house by “accident”, he rushed home to get more info on the website. Although he had not previously considered buying a home in Cedar Point, the idea was planted. She moved him to action. Within one week of calling Christy, I had an offer. Being the only person to look at the house made this a perfect closing percentage. She even convinced me to counter offer to get the price back to very near her original asking price. Many obstacles came our way, eventually delaying the closing ten days. I was understandable nervous and called Christy many times to be assured that this deal would get done. She never failed to answer my many phone calls and e-mails and was always available. She also has a rare selling skill. She listens more than she talks. We closed today! I am sure other agents at Bluewater get similar results and hear testimonials from grateful sellers all the time. This story is the one that matters to me because it was my house, the special one I built for my wife. We never thought we’d sell it, but once the decision was made, Christy made it happen in a way that I think only she could have. Thank you Christy Crumpler."

"I just happened upon Christy. I had a property in mind to buy but ended up buying another one from her. She was friendly, very knowledgeable of the area and professional. She stayed on top of the sale, communicated very well and was always available to take a call. She knew more about the closing than the attorney did. I would definitely use her again and recommend her to others."

What are the HO Dues for this property?

Christy Crumpler answered:
The HO dues for studio units at Pebble Beach (like this one) is $132.08/month. This is the lowest priced unit at Pebble Beach in our MLS right now. The next one is another studio at $149,900. - Fri Nov 14 2008, 12:20
Christy Crumpler answered:
A lot of 1st time buyers ask the seller to pay all or a portion of their closing costs. Most lenders will allow the seller to pay up to a certain percentage. - Wed Aug 27 2008, 11:40
Christy Crumpler answered:
Consider Carteret County too. Carteret County has the beautiful beaches of Emerald Isle, with many wonderful neighborhoods just a short drive (or walk) to the water. In your price range, you can be on the island, White Oak River, Queens Creek or perhaps even Bogue Sound! And White Oak Elementary School is very highly rated. Our taxes are low too. At just 23 cents per $100 value, we're the lowest in the state. If you want to look into it further, I have several good links at my website (see below). If you like what you see and would like help finding a home, just let me know! - Tue Aug 19 2008, 17:57

Where can i find mobile home parks near camp lejeune?

Christy Crumpler answered:
I own a mobile home park outside of Camp Lejeune in Hubert. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it), we have no vacancies at present. Several other nice parks in the Jacksonville/Hubert/Swansboro area though. You can find a pretty good list of them at http://www.MHVillage.com. A few have submitted their contact info, but the majority just have park names and addresses. It's a good place to start though! (you'll find my park listed there too - Turtle Cove) - Tue Aug 12 2008, 16:17
Christy Crumpler answered:
Was in the area and drove by 339 Queens Haven Rd. It is still owned by HUD, but has not been put on the market for sale as yet. If you are still interested, I can let you know when it does come available. There are a few other foreclosures in the area I can tell you about, but often you can get a good deal by finding a troubled home before it goes into foreclosure. - Sat Jul 12 2008, 12:34
A little quick research of the county's records showed that this home was owned by HUD as of 12/28/07 - although recent sales take awhile to be reflected here. Nothing on the HUD site to indicate it's currently for sale, also nothing in the Onslow MLS. - Fri Jul 4 2008, 14:02
