Born and raised in Southern California, I earned my bachelor's degree in business from California State Polytechnic University at age 21. I then worked for Staples, Coca-Cola, and spent 8 years with ADP, Inc. in management and as a Business Analyst prior to making real estate my full time career.
During my business career, my wife and I were very successful buying/selling personal real estate which motivated me to make real estate my full time career. Why not use my personal success to help others make good decisions? My wife has been a teacher for over 12 years ranging from elementary to professor level at GCC.
We reside in the Phoenix area and love it!

Hi Carlos. What is your definition of still priced high? I have seem home prices lower than 1999 values for some foreclosure resale homes. Banks are looking to dump homes. I just sent out a list of 80 homes (10 years or newer) priced under $80,000 all in the Phoenix and West Valley areas.
Most new homebuilders are still the highest priced of your choices. More importantly I would caution you on buying a newbuild without REALTOR representation since many of the new communites are struggling to even be completed. At the AZ Dept of Real Estate website you can find builders/subdivions that are in risk of not being complete due to bankruptcy. A good Realtor will know this and make sure you are informed of this information not to mention other rights/protections. Remember, the sales representitives at new homes sites work for the builder not you. If you hire a Realtor, they are working for you!
If you are interested in receiving my foreclosure reports you can sign up at the website below. Good Luck.

Susan-
There are several free hotlines you can call to discuss your situation. These resources should be listed at the Arizona Department of Real Estate website. If you do not find them e-mail me and I will get the information for you. I am not at my office so I do not have it in front of me.
I have successfully negotiated short sales and there are some ins and outs of dealing with them. But every property owner's situation is different so you may or may not qualify for a short sale with your property. But it is probably worth doing to avoid a foreclosure if you have loss of income. I know the Surprise area really well and can anser any questions you may have. If you want me to meet with you to discuss your options more let me know. - Sun Jul 27 2008, 18:16
If the homes are sold they should not show as available on websites (I assume that is where you are seeing it listed). Maybe the listing agent did not update the on-line information correctly or timely?
If the house has offers on it but not in escrow it could and in most cases should still be listed as available. Not sure if this is the situation for the homes you mention.
I usually call to check status on properties before I show them to clients just to make sure I have the most current information...
I hope this helps if you need further information feel free to contact me. - Thu Jul 17 2008, 10:41
Cheryl-
You can find a lot of information on the city website. And links to others.
I would also recommend looking at the plan for the mall named Prasada which has broken ground.
Most websites do list bedroom information. Feel free to review homes in this community on my website as my client have said the search functions are very good and you should find bedroom info on it.
Feel free to contact me with any other questions. I live in this community and know it very well. - Mon Jun 9 2008, 10:10
I am not sure if they changed the way you were looking, however it is still avilable if you follow these steps:
Once you select a property in the area you are looking at, if you click on the view comparable homes button (about half way down) and click the tab that says recently sold homes you can find it there.
If you still can't find what you are looking for, I am happy to e-mail you the recent solds just let me know what area or a house you want to compare it to.
