Jodi Vandyke

I have lived in Northeast Wisconsin most of my life. My family has lived in this area for generations, supporting and taking part in the community. My Grandfather, Norman Matzke, was the very first President of the Southern Door School Board. I know that this is a wonderful place to raise a family. Where else can you enjoy the quiet serenity of Door County and then go to a rowdy Packer game all in one day? We are truly blessed to live in this part of the country.

Let me take a minute to tell you a little about myself. I was originally Jodi Massart, born and raised in the Forestville/Brussels area. I attended Southern Door Elementary School for K-8, and worked at Couns “C” Club in 8th grade. After moving out of state for 2 years, I moved back to the area, living in the Bay Settlement area of Green Bay. In 2001 I married Dave VanDyke, and we lived in Algoma for the first year of our marriage. We then moved to Brussels, and have lived here for 5 years. My family includes Christopher, who is in Kindergarten at Southern Door, and Jason who is 2 ½.
Many of you will remember attending weddings or eating Broasted Chicken at the Forestvilla in Forestville. My parents, Vicki and Gary Massart, were former owners. Some will remember my Grandparents, Norman & Carol Matzke operating Matzke’s Refrigeration and Electric. It was located in the building across from the gas station in Forestville. Grandpa Norman was the very first President of the Southern Door School Board. Still others will know my Grandparents, Harold & Delores Massart. They are now retired (so they say) from the family farm on Cty.D in Forestville, having turned it over to another generation.
