When buying a home in the greater Houston (Harris County) market, often the most difficult decision is picking a location with outstanding schools. There are 22 (twenty-two!) independent public school districts in Harris County! Having lived in suburban Harris County (Spring) for 30+ years, I can personally attest to the terrific quality of educational opportunities available in this market, both public and private. I have two grown sons who are products of area public schools - both graduated in the top 2% of their high-school classes and both graduated Magna Cum Laude from two of America's most outstanding universities. In other words, they were ready for the demands and challenges of college from day one! And my wife is in her 36th year in the classroom, all in public school systems. We have a lot of valuable experience to share with people moving into this area. - Mon Apr 23 2007, 15:51
Spring, Texas is an unincorporated 'bedroom' community on the north and northwest side of Houston/Harris County. You won't find us on most maps and there's no Mayor or City Council for Spring. But it is truly an outstanding place to call home. We have all the amenities you'd want - great schools, great parks, great residential areas, and REALLY great real-estate prices (compared to the rest of the country)! I've lived here 30+ years and have raised a family here. Whatever you're looking for in a first-class residential community, we have it all! - Mon Apr 23 2007, 15:51
