Solomon Romano answered:
The valley is full of properties that have unpermitted space, and they sell all the time. Do you know what specifically was the problem with the unpermitted space? Did it seem to have a structural problem?

Solomon Romano answered:
You can work with a Realtor to have it placed on the MLS, or you can just post it on Craigslist. A lot of my clients have had success with that.

Best of luck to you,

The easiest way is to see what the assessor has on file for your home. Here's a link to their site: http://maps.assessor.lacounty.gov/mapping/viewer.asp

Note that if your home has had additions that are not permitted, the correct square footage may not show, and even when you have permits for the additions, sometimes the data is updated. This is, however, a good starting point to figuring out the square footage of your home.

If I may be of any assistance, don't hesitate to contact me.

Looking for a 3 bedroom loft in downtown Los Angeles

Solomon Romano answered:
I know a Realtor who specializes in lofts in Downtown Los Angeles. If you're interested, I'd be happy to refer you to him.

Best of luck on your search!

Since it's been 6 weeks since you've listed it, my first thought is that it may be overpriced. When you listed the property, did you see what other comparable homes were selling for in the market? If the price seems in line with other properties, then are there any details that make your home less desirable than other similar homes? - Mon Oct 8 2007, 13:18
