Jane,
I am sorry to hear about your Buyer Broker Agreement, Did you read it before you sign it? Did you mentioned that you only want to work with her/him just for this property. Lender Ownd Properties know their numbers and their legal papers and what they want. As always Please read any contracts before you sign. There many REO, keep looking, work with a buyer broker, Dual agency are... something you really want to think about it. I like your sense of humor about being a celebrity, I am happy to see people getting good answers like the ones below.

As a buyer, you don't pay a commission or flat fee when you use a realtor. However if you prefer doing that and you don't want to work with a buyer or seller (listing) agents, drive around and look for sale by owner,
Try web site that advertise for sale by owner. However if you use the listing agent, you have two options. you sign a dual agency or not rep.

Every parent point of view is differnt , what it could be best for you is not necessary the same for others. Check the web sites provided, call the schools, check out the schools, if you are working with a realtor, she/he should be able to help you more. When are you moving? are you working with a realtor?
I live in Scottsdale for over12 years. If you need more info, feel free to contact me

i don't know if you were able to find a rental, try realtor.com under rentals, Section 8 has regulations. House has to pass the rules and regulations. The propety owner might not even know about section 8. Scottsdale is known world wide. - Sun Jun 29 2008, 13:26
The listing agent is representing the seller and now she is representing you. Dual agency. i can't tell you abou the compensation without reading the buyer-broker agreement. However probably you should talk to her and express your concerns and if you wish to cancel she should be able to do so. I belive our Buyer-broker agreements are good as long as relations are good.
Best Wishes on your future purchase. - Tue Jun 24 2008, 19:02
I focus on the Phoenix Area and Scottsdale mainly. However some referrals would like me to cover some other areas, which sometimes I considered. Working the East Phoenix Area and Scottsdale have help me to stay focus on two areas that I enjoy working because I feel very comfortable.
