About Me
PERSONAL INTRODUCTION

Jon Griffith, an Arizona Native, has lived in Phoenix for over 35 years. As the son of a seasoned Real Estate veteran, Philip A. Griffith, he has witnessed firsthand the explosion of growth in the Valley of the Sun and carries with him a unique knowledge of the surrounding areas. Jon is a former member of the Phoenix Boys Choir, a highly disciplined organization that instills excellence in every member. This excellence transcends his love for the performing arts into the lives of the clientèle he represents.
Jon is ecstatic to be a part of Realty Executives, ranked #1 in the Valley since 1972, with over 800 offices worldwide, with its National Relocation Office headquartered right here in Phoenix, Arizona.

TECHNOLOGY EXPERT

Jon began his professional walk in the technology sector, learning the ins and outs of computer networking which gave him a strong foothold for the future of technology and Real Estate. “Learning how to build networks from the ground up helped me develop the skills required to understand the technology used to properly expose your home to as many people as possible in the least amount of time,” he states.

CREDENTIALS

Jon is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Arizona Association of Realtors, the Scottsdale Association of Realtors, Arizona Regional Multiple Listing Service, is a graduate of the Arizona School of Real Estate and Business, and is a graduate of Executive Launch, an advanced real estate business and marketing program.

MISSION STATEMENT

Every day my goal is to connect with you by providing personal service and integrity to build a strong sense of community between you and others like you. Some say business isn’t personal. I believe business is ALL personal. I will take the time to pay attention to the details that others often overlook with the hope that your life will be enriched through your relationship with me. My goal is excellence; my goal is your satisfaction.

Jon Griffith answered:
Phoenix is a huge city spread over a very large area and there is such a diverse selection of communities that there's no way to generalize the market conditions in the area. For example, in Gilbert, which is in south east Phoenix, inventory is at a 5 1/2 month turnover rate, while Paradise Valley, which consists of homes in the upper million dollar range has a 2 year inventory. While one area may be increasing, like Scottsdale (even Scottsdale is too big to generalize) another area may have drastically declines. Surprise, Anthem, Maricopa, and Queen Creek are examples of the extreme areas that have really taken a hit, because the people who purchased there have retreated closer to the city to conserve fuel. Those areas are definitely used as the centerpiece for media's doom and gloom outlook. You're right about it not being accurate. - Wed Jun 25 2008, 22:04

I know that in my home, which is 1460sq/ft, my utility bill averages about $180/month year round... why? The air conditioner is 35 years old. This is an important factor. I'm quite surprised that it's still working. - Mon Jun 16 2008, 13:44
Jon Griffith answered:
This is a testimony to how quickly we all are to let everyone know how poorly someone treated us as opposed to how happy we were with someone. Sometimes giving others the benefit of the doubt can come back to bite us...but that's no reason not to trust the next person. I would find someone you trust who has had a good experience to refer you to a trusted agent who has a proven record of success. I would also find a niche agent who specializes in short sale. - Fri May 16 2008, 18:59

As a former network administrator and a website designer with 15 years technology experience, my opinion on what tech savvy means may differ from others. What you need is someone who is versed in internet technologies, someone who knows photoshop, dreamweaver, flash, and other internet publishing applications intimately, and someone who knows how to connect with other people.

Having a blackberry and a blog doesn't make a tech savvy business person. A tech savvy business person is the one who knows who to call to handle that which he or she doesn't understand and when to call them. Find the guy that understands the value of the internet and who knows how to find good people to help him run his business in your best interest. - Sat May 3 2008, 17:05

Paying IN FULL, IN CASH - How much of a markdown can I get?

Jon Griffith answered:
To the seller, cash in your pocket is the same as cash in the lender's pocket. If a buyer who is seeking financing has been approved and provides proof of funding, whether it be their cash or the banks cash, the price is going to remain the same. I wouldn't drop the price of my own home for a cash deal because there are plenty of buyers who can qualify to purchase at my asking price. - Sat May 3 2008, 16:57
