"Recently we experienced selling our home in Colorado, buying a home in Santa Rosa and the huge task of moving. We did all of this in the span of three months. It was both exhilarating and exhausting.
We settled on Santa Rosa as our retirement destination after some time spent with Cindy Brandon last September. She was very knowledgeable, well organized and tireless in her efforts to show us an overview of Santa Rosa real estate. We were most impressed at how well she had heard us regarding location, amvience and price range. There was no wasted time in that visit.
The week before Christmas we returned again. We had stayed in constanct communication with Cindy from Colorado, allowing us to have first hand knowledge of the housing market here in Santa Rosa. With Cindy and her associate Sandra Ormerod we viewed only those homes that fit our specific criteria. Happily we found our home and were under contract during that visit.
When we returned to Colorado we found that our home had sold and we needed to vacate in thirty days. Our new home in Santa Rosa had some home inspection issues that needed to be addressed before we could close escrow. All of this was handled with calm professionalism by Cindy and Sandra.
Our experience with Cindy Brandon and Sandra Ormerod has been very satisfying. The process was concluded to everyone's satisfaction. Cindy's tireless work ethic, in-depth expertise, and outstanding contacts in the financial and contractor communities had much to do with that conclusion. We whole-heartedly recommend both these professionals.

"Cindy Brandon did an excellent job helping us relocate from Kalamazoo, Michigan to Sonoma County. We had two homes to sell in Michigan and we had just heard on CNN that the worst market to have owned a home in the US in the past year was Kalamazoo, Michigan! Cindy worked extremely hard at helping us sell our homes in Michigan and she had some great ideas and input. We believe that Cindy was instrumental in getting both of our homes sold in what was termed the worst housing market in the US.
During our search for a new home here in California Cindy was the consummate professional. One of our more unusual requests was that someone in our household really wanted to be within close driving distance of fast food restaurants. In fact he said he,
"Did not want his French fries to get cold on the drive home."
When Cindy looked at prospective homes for us and was planning our tours, she actually bought French fries from the closest restaurant and drove to the prospective home to be certain that they would stay nice and warm! Now that is exceptional service! Thank you Cindy!

"It is with great privelege and honor that I extend my recommendation in favor of Cindy Brandon to be your Realtor.
My wife and I both native Californians have brought and sold some eight properties due to job relocaiton within Northern California which ended in our move to San Diego. This allowed us to be closer to family who are military oreinted and contra to our location which kept us far apart.
At the time of our proposed move we found a fliyer announcing Cindy Brandon's interest in the sale of our property at some future time.
When the time arrived upon review of four leading Realtors based soley on each presentation Cindy Brandon and the Real Estate Company she represented was selected.
I know you will find Cindy's qualifications impeccable particularly in the areas of representing the sale of the property through the media, by her past personal contacts which give high support to the Standard Real Estate Multiple Listings.
Please feel free to contact me direct for any added question which you might have.
Sincerely,
Jim Abrusci"

"As you are aware, I had the opportunity to make a job transfer to beautiful Sonoma County from the Sacramento area in late 2005. In my new position as Executive Director of Healdsburg Developmental Center, I am CEO of one of the largest employers in the county, with commensurate time demands. Needless to say, there was very little time for me to focus on finding a home in a new area. I had no useful knowledge of the county and, as you quickly learned, no clearly defined vision of my housing wants or needs.
You began searching for properties and trying to educate me about the area market and, housing prices and values, etc. I have made a number of moves and purchased many homes, but I have never experienced the level of service you were able to provide. I did not keep track, but I am sure you previewed 100+ properties from the beginning of our search in early 2006 until we opened escrow in late fall of 2006. This includes making two other offers and all the associated work and due diligence necessary in order to properly inspect and evaluate the conditions relating to the properties.
I cannot begin to convey my appreciation for extraordinary amount of effort that you put forth to make sure I had all of the information I needed to make informed decisions regarding the purchase of my new magnificent home.
I am now a proud homeowner of a large executive home with acreage, views, etc., that fits my needs perfectly.

"A note to all prospective realty clients:
Denis and I have had the pleasure of working with Cindy on two different occasions…once as a buyer and once as a seller. Both experiences more than met our expectations.
As our buying agent in 2003, Cindy was very responsive to our needs. She researched and kept us informed of homes in various locations of our interest. She was never pushy or aggressive, offering her opinion and advice only when necessary or when we asked for it. The selling agent at that time commented on her professionalism and was very pleased to work with her providing for us a mutually satisfactory transaction.
Cindy was also involved in the selling of our Petaluma home this year. Once again, her attention to detail was impeccable. She provided beautiful marketing and display materials and held an adequate number of open houses.
We were particularly appreciative of her efforts to insure that we resolved all of the compliance issues. Being remote sellers, it was most helpful to have someone who could and would personally respond to situations requiring on-site presence.
Once again, the buying agent on this occasion commented on the highly professional conduct of Cindy and especially her attention to detail.
Denis and I highly recommend the use of Cindy as either a buying or selling agent. She will go above and beyond the call of duty. As a prospective client, you may feel free to call Denis or Maxine Pepin for a reference.
We thank her for a job well done.
Denis and Maxine Pepin"

I live in Wikiup and love it. Its a great community primarily consisting of homes that were built in the 70's but there are also some homes less than 5 years old. There are homes in all price ranges including some properties with acreage and great views. The people that live here tend to love nature and we have a lot of it, including mature heritage oak trees, deer, great bird watching, etc.
The folks that live here are primiary professionals, there are some retired people here as well. We have winemakers, bankers, consultants, hoteliers ... and realtors. A lot of people walk to exercise. We have a great hill for that and its an excellent work out. There are no HOA dues and there is a tennis and swim club that is popular and affordable.
There are a few great buys in Wikiup. I would keep it on your list.

Cindy Brandon, MBA, CRS, GRI, EcoBroker answered:
Hi Olivia,
Windsor is a family oriented community and the Town makes safety a priority. You should check out the Town of Windsor's website. Here's a link to a page that states that Windsor crime rate per capita is the lowest in Sonoma County.
http://www.ci.windsor.ca.us/index.asp?NID=175. In addition to information about crime rate, their website has a wealth of information about the Town that you might find interesting and informative.
I've sold many homes and commercial properties in Windsor, California. Finding the right neighborhood for you will depend more on the schools, lifestyle, and property characteristics you are looking for. Windsor has it all from vineyard/country properties to live/work communities. People that want a single family home with larger yard on city services tend to lean toward the east side of Hwy 101. Most new construction since 2000 has taken place on the west side of 101. Lot sizes tend to be smaller but the amenities offered are more contemporary.
I think its important to become educated about the community and the best way to accomplish this is to pay us a visit, talk to people, city workers, store owners etc. that live here and then come to your own conclusion.
