Sigorwoz, Home Buyer in Danville

How is the market doing on the westside of Alamo and Danville? Is it worth buying a fixer?

Although the market for Danville and Alamo has held up a lot better than most other cities, prices have declined and there is an imbalance of homes for sale vs. buyers. I think we are nearing the bottom of the market. If your intention is hold long term ( 3 to 5 years) I would comfortable buying now. The market is not a good one for flipping homes. I would avoid that stratagy right now. have a plan, a bufgit and most importantly an exit statagy. I would interview several contractors and get a real idea of the costs to remodel before you commit to buying any home. labor is pretty cheap right now and you can negotiate your best price if you do your homework.
