Hello Mrs first time home buyer,
even though is true that there are alot of short sale properties,
as well as reo"s the fact is that be you have to be very patient when submitting
an offer on a short sale property, for it takes three or four times as much waiting
than an reo or conventional sale, but I recomend that you pay atention to the reo for the following reasons:
less waiting period ( usualy 30 day close )
less price
less hassel in the negotiation with the bank,
so, go for the reo"s!!!! there are lots of them, you can find a list of hundreds of them
in mosts banks websites, where you will find the price they sell for too
good luck! - Fri Jun 27 2008, 16:20

Response from Lender is all over the map. Some will return calls and you are able to work with them, but then there others that will not return calls no matter how many times you call them. I have sent in an all cash offer to 3 diffrent lenders and todate I have received an answer. But then I have sent in offers on others and they have responded very quickly. - Fri May 9 2008, 19:59
