Hi from another east coast transplant (I'm from NJ). This property is located in the SF neighborhood known as Sunnyside, which is basically residential (meaning there isn't a true commercial center where you can just walk to shops and cafes). As you can see from the pictures on the link, the immediate vicinity consists of primarily detached single family homes (in other parts of the neighborhood, the houses are primarily attached homes). There is a small Safeway grocery store nearby, and SF City College and Sunnyside Elementary school are within easy walking distance. The property itself would benefit from interior updating and exterior landscaping (if you're handy, it provides the opportunity to gain "sweat equity"). I live nearby, so feel free to contact me direclty if you have any other questions you'd like answered. Thanks! - Thu Oct 2 2008, 14:06
