In addition to the renters union, I would also review the SF rent Board as well.

Both will provide some guidance on tenants rights and guidelines. - Tue Mar 18 2008, 22:50

There are a few but if you are concerned about resale value consider properties with a view, outdoor space or that has another "compelling" selling point.

And 'Please' get parking!! Otherwise you will be very disappointed when you try and sell it in 3 -5 years.

Good Luck with your home search!! - Tue Feb 12 2008, 16:42

Hi Tanja-

I would go down to the "Department of Building and Permits" and get them to give you an answer on that one.

It's tough and I have seen several 3r's over the years that were similar to the one you are describing.

Good Luck!!

Move quickly and talk with the lender to see what options they have for you. Then talk with your real estate agent for additional options.

Good Luck!! - Thu Aug 9 2007, 10:17

Hi Marlow-

If you are looking for the latest news and new areas where technology is enhancing the real estate industry, then you would love the conference.

The big buzz this year was the "Bloggers Connect" but reading between the lines I think you will see alot of companies adding value to the brokerage community in the next year.

I plan on making this an annual pilgrimage!!
