Hi, I am Deidre Hayes with Priority Estates Realty. I specialize in helping military families buy and sell their real estate. Having lived and worked in San Diego for over 15 years, I am convinced it is the best big city ever! I love this town. It offers beaches, mountains, major league events, golf courses and colleges galore, and the absolute best weather in the country. Originally from South Carolina, I enjoy the outdoors and nature. I live in the north part of San Diego and am very familiar with real estate on the I-15 corridor, Hwy. 56, especially Poway and Rancho Bernardo.
I also support through volunteering for a non-profit called First American Military (FAM). FAM provides mortgage assistance to qualified veterans, mentoring, and a network of professionals to help vets get their financial lives in order. It is a passion of mine. Check out

You could consider Poway.. older homes with dropped prices.. horse properties.. Rancho Penasquitas has a lot of houses in that price range and great schools. Condos in 4 S Ranch, foreclosures or short sales may be a good opportunity. Rancho Bernardo also has lovely attached homes and condos in that price range without the added Mella Roos taxes that the west side of 15 new construction has attached to them.
Call me if you want more specifics and to set you up with customized MLS notification system.

Hello, Frustrated!! Why weren't the properties "VA approved"? Maybe they have unpermitted add ons, apparent termite damage, etc. VA requires part 1 and 2 of termite repair if it is extensive.. and your seller has to pay some of the closing fees. Call me if you want to talk about this. I help military families find affordable housing in San Diego. Many agents in San Diego are not familiar with VA loans and can't explain them well to the sellers or the buyers.
I would like to know the specifics of what you were seeking.
:) Ready to help,

Best public schools .. POWAY Unifiied.. lots of choices of older homes in Poway, horse properties on the East Side, West side of 15 offers beautiful new homes in Del Sur and 4 S Ranch.. still in POWAY USD.. Rancho Bernardo has older homes in that price range. Look off Rancho Bernardo Rd., Espola, and Carmel Valley Road.. Carmel Valley, Del Mar Heights, and La Jolla have good schools as well. Great private schools as well. Let me know if you need help finding the perfect home.. I know the Poway and RB (Rancho Bernardo, 4 S Ranch) well. Happy House Hunting! Dear Toowet, there are thousands of condos in the San Diego area. What kind of view would you like? The area is diverse and it would depend on price, retirement needs such as transportation, facilities, supports, golf :) , beaches, freeway access, neighborhoods/ towers, etc. I show condos all over town. IF SAFETY is a concern, let's consider gated communities. Do you want a turnkey property or a fixer upper? Also, foreclosures and short sales are abundant. Call me and let's talk about your specific needs and timeframe. I HAVE THE TIME to help you find what you want in the best city in the world!

Dear Wendy, I would be glad to help you find what you are looking for in San Diego and the outlying areas. There are a number of places that you could see if you are interested. Some of the 15 or so communities that are condos in gated communities with amenities are in the $300K - 700K range and HOA's in the $190-300 range. If you are looking for something in the $160K-250K range, they will be older, around 20 years but some have been beautifully redone. I recently did a search for a gentleman from Desert Hot Springs, CA so I know the inventory. Please feel free to call me and I can answer your questions about retirement communities in the area. If you want golf, church, transportation, and a great community, Rancho Bernardo is the best. I live near here and have many friends in the retirement areas. Singe family detached are in the 400-600K range and older but lovely area. Would you like me to send you some listings? CAll me with your specific needs and details. I would love to help you find a home.

IMilitary families are my special work in real estate as well as their family and friends! I specialize in finding families homes in the $150,000- $800,000 range in San Diego. If you need someone who understands CAL VET and VA loans, I am that person. Whether you are seeking a new or previously owned single family residence, condo, townhome or row home, there is a large inventory of available properties in San Diego county. Investing in real estate is one of the best ways to secure your financial future. I can show you any type of property you are seeking and can set up a customized email notification system for the exact homes you seek. If you need to sell your home, I can unleash my 20-step marketing plan to get your home sold for the price you want. If you are behind and need a short sale to get out from under your debt, I can list your home quickly. If you need a retirement community and don't know where to look, call me. I know the inventory of homes here and can help with your real estate needs.
Honor presented by San Diego Association of REALTORS (SDAR REALTORS) for volunteer involvement in community service work with First American Military non-profit for military families in September 2008.
I love reading, fishing in the South, traveling, cooking, gardening, hiking, painting watercolors and acrylics, watching old black and white movies, and spending time with friends and family. I really enjoy volunteering with First American Military to help military families who want the American Dream of home ownership.
