Hi Ann,

As other agents have mentioned it would be best to get qualified for your loan. Since you have some ideas where to live and where not to live would be start to get yourself familiarized with getting list of homes in areas that you want to live. Your other option would be to get a month to month rental while looking so you get a home in a area that you would feel comfortable living. If you have kids going to school San Diguito Unified and Poway school district would be great. Please feel free to contact me if you have further question or would like to get list of homes. Also as far as earthquake I am really scared too but I have lived in San Diego since 1982 and thanks God nothing major has happened but it is part of reality in California.
