You are not obligated to use that agent although it is usually the goal. The agent is trying to work both sides of the transaction. There are a few benfits for you. The deal will go more quickly, the agent has more control, and you will have a better chance at getting the property since theya re selling as well. Yous hould ask if you use the agent will you get a loan for free or some credit for closing costs. It will really save you money and go faster.

I show properties for people all the time. Sometimes the buyers go with me and sometimes they don't. The extra service of showing the property just to meet you shows you have an agent on your hands who will usually go the extra mile. I have found four homes in our area. I actually live here too. They range from 650,000 to 699000. There is a five bedroom with 3 bath that is 2254 square feet priced at 694,900

The others are all 1630 sq ft 3 bedroom and 2.5 bath that is two story.
