Hello Lisa:
I have been buying, listing, or selling bank owned REO properties since 1993. The offer price has less to do with the actual list price the offer price has everyting to do with the current bank owned listings in the area the market time of the listing you are interested in as well as the condition of the home in question and the most recent closed listings. The best way to find out what they are is to work with a realtor you trust and is one that works full time in the area you are looking or has access to all the local MLS info. You can usually get a property for up to 8% less then the most recent closed sale if it is within the last 60 days. There is a lot more to this but I hope this is helpful. - Tue Aug 19 2008, 22:13
