What is the prgram helps the most for first time house buyers?

Eric Estrada answered:
Jennifer,
There are some pretty good resources out there for first time homebuyers. The city of San Antonio actually offers a HomeOwner Incentive. You can read more about that at their website: http://www.sanantonio.gov/nad/LendDiv/DownPayment/homeownerp…

Also, you might want to talk to a lender who deals with first time homebuyers. I was talking to a lender recently who explained a few programs for first time homebuyers, teachers, and other groups. Her name is Windy Minten, and her website is: http://www.windyminten.com

You might be able to give her a call--she's been doing this for over 30 years, so she knows what is out there, and who can qualify.

How much is too much for a condo in the Marymont area?

Eric Estrada answered:
Fred, your answer is going to be relative. There are condos in Marymont that have sold for under $50K this year, and some that have sold for over $400K. Your Realtor should be able to sit down with you and show you the comparables. By looking at what has sold this year, what's on the market, and the condition of each property, you'll get a good idea of how much is too much for any specific condo that you're looking at, instead of getting a blanket answer for the entire area. I hope that helps! - Wed Aug 29 2007, 14:04

search for hudd approved rental homes in san antonio area only

Eric Estrada answered:
Tina, that might be difficult to do. I've personally never seen a public search that lets you look specifically for HUD approved rental homes. Your best bet might be to talk to an Agent that deals with those who can provide you a list, or help guide you. If I hear of any public search that allows you to do that, I'll let you know. Good luck! - Wed Aug 29 2007, 10:12
Eric Estrada answered:
That's a hard subject to address. Hopefully she has a Realtor who can work with her and let her know about the market for those homes--possibly looking into resale value of similar homes. Unfortunately, since it is a new home, there may not be much to compare it to. She might consider looking into other home comunities to see if she's getting the value that she wants. - Fri Aug 24 2007, 14:58

Question removed

Eric Estrada answered:
Jim, I just sent you an e-mail. You should be able to see all the pictures at http://www.MySARE.com, just look up the home by address or MLS number.
